My whole childhood, I have lived with different breeds of dogs going from Brittany spaniel, american cocker to Pekingese.
My love for Aussies has started in 2009 when I got my first pet/performance Australian shepherd. With her, I learned a lot on behavior, versatility and the affectionate side of the breed. I also expanded my horizons by doing obedience, agility, frisbee and herding with her. More I was learning on the breed, more I was fascinated. After a few years of research on the breed and on hall of fame/ethical breeders, I was perfectly up to task for new challenges ; showing and breeding dogs. I contacted Ellen at Thornapple Aussies kennel who trusted me with all her heart by sending me an exceptional show quality male. With him, I've learned everything! I did handling, obedience and rally classes. I also went to seminars on breeding and behavioral problems with dogs. I have been showing dogs since 2013. I have led my dogs to get their Canadian championship with limited showing. I am a proud owner/handler who is devoted for the breed. |
